Kids After-school Ceramics Program at Myrtle’s
Where imagination takes shape
in ridgewood, queens.
At Myrtle’s Clayhouse, our after-school program gives kids ages 6–12 a place to get creative, experiment with clay, and make things entirely their own.
Students will be taught a range of ceramic techniques, including handbuilding, sculpting, decorating and Painting.
We’ll introduce projects and ideas each week while leaving plenty of room for kids to follow their own interests, experiment, and take their work in unexpected directions.
Frequently asked questions
How to Dress:
-
Clothing: We recommend comfortable, “ready-to-get-messy” clothes. Clay and glaze washes out, but creativity can get a little splattered! We’ll provide aprons, but no fancy outfits, please.
-
Shoes: Closed-toe shoes are best to keep little toes safe in the studio.
