Myrtle's Clayhouse has been open since 11/1/2025. Myrtle's Clayhouse is our second studio, with Bushwick Ceramics being our first - which has been open
for 3 years.Myrtle's Clayhouse is a well lit, clean 2600 sqft studio on 2 floors and is the first Ridgewood Ceramic Studio on Myrtle Avenue. We are a community-first studio built by artists, for artists. We combine professional-level facilities with a relaxed, collaborative vibe — where beginners, hobbyists, and working ceramicists share the same space. Our studios are independently owned, locally rooted, and focused on access, education, and mutual respect rather than mass programming.
Not at all. We welcome everyone — from complete beginners to seasoned ceramic artists. Our 6-week classes are structured to guide new students through every step of handbuilding and wheel throwing, while our membership program supports more independent makers looking for consistent studio access. We also offer 1 day workshops.
Membership is $275 a month and gives you unlimited open studio access during operating hours 9am-9pm, a dedicated storage shelf, use of glazes and tools, and discounted clay and firings. Each member becomes part of a larger community — helping keep the studio clean, respectful, and creative. We currently have 12 wheels, 2 large communal tables, extruder, slabroller and much more. We periodically have member markets and showcases.
