Handbuilding Workshop!

Course Description

Come play with clay! This is a relaxed, social workshop—perfect for beginners or people who have experience in ceramics. All materials are provided. Settle in for two hours of clay time at Myrtle’s Clayhouse and create Handmade Ceramics that’s all you. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of pinching and coil-building from start to finish. We’ll start with a quick intro to clay and handbuilding techniques, then you’ll learn how to: • Shape your pieces using simple, approachable methods (no experience needed!) • Attach decorations • Add surface details, texture, or carving to make it uniquely yours You’ll choose your glaze color from our studio palette, and our team will handle the firing and glazing after class. Your finished pieces will be ready for everyday use, typically available for pickup in about 2-3 weeks. Cancelations before 1/19 to be considered for a refund.
